All return requests must be made in writing, (i.e. email, fax, etc) to the attention of Martha. A written RGA must be issued to your company for the return to be valid.
Hofmann Fluid Power standard restocking policy is 25%, but can vary by the number of RGA’s requested by one company, and the item being returned. ( i.e. special orders , over stock limits)
The merchandise should arrive within 7 days of issue of our RGA. Should the merchandise not be received in 15 days from request, a memo is sent as a reminder. 30 days after the RGA has been issued your RGA is considered in-valid; prior arrangements must be made, and/or a new RGA must be obtained to return the items.
If Hofmann Fluid Power receives parts after the 30 days on an in valid RGA your items may be returned at your expense or an extra 5% will be added to your RGA as a late fee. You will be contacted for your choice.
The individual returned line item must have a minimum value of at least $5.00 net The entire request must meet a minimum of at least $25.00 net.
Returned goods must be in resalable condition to be considered for return. No hose, tubing, washer, o-rings (soft goods, etc.) Will be allowed for return, except in matters of factory error; the item must be returned in original packaging or first class resalable condition to be considered for return even in factory error.
No special, obsolete, or volume purchase will be considered for return. No items over one year old from date of purchase will be considered for return.
All returns must have a copy of the RGA issued by Hofmann Fluid Power included in the shipment; all returns will be shipped PREPAID. No C.O.D. Hofmann Fluid Power will not pay freight, only in matters of factory error; in which case you will be instructed on how to ship back the factory error items.

Once items are received, inspected and accepted a credit memo will be issued. Hofmann Fluid Power will fax, email or mail a copy to you. PLEASE do not apply your debit memos to payments until you have received our credit memo. Should they not match your check may be returned. The credit memo issued by Hofmann Fluid Power should be used within 3-months from the date of issue. If the credit memo goes over the 3-month time limit you will be contacted by our accounts receivable department with a reminder.
